1 hour 41 mins. (14 miles)
Wow. I felt absolutely terrible this morning. The worst part is that I have no idea why. I got plenty of sleep last night and ate a sensible dinner, not to mention the heat and humidity were much lower today than they have been in recent memory. But for whatever reason, my stomach was rocked and my legs were weak and I spent most of the run feeling dizzy/shaky/woozy. I was very poor company for Pezz, whom I met up with for the first time in several weeks, but fortunately she is rebounding from a down week and didn't complain much. I'd really hoped to take advantage of the conditions and crank out a good one but, alas, twas not to be. If there's anything positive to glean here, it's the knowledge that I can persevere and finish out a long run even when I feel abysmal from the very first step. So I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Hey Meagan! I hadn't looked at your blog in a while. Hope you and your sidekick are doing well! Any marathon plans in the works?
Looking at the pace of this run and how you felt, maybe you should have slowed down or cut it short?
hey camille! thanks for the comment! we're both doing well. as for that particular run, i have no idea why i felt so terrible. i felt like i was running pretty slowly but maybe i wasn't. the good news is i just got back from another long run this morning and felt light years better! will catch up on my blog shortly.
Yeaaaa, good to hear! Yeah, I used to get stubborn with myself if I was feeling crappy and had an important run, but I've learned to heed what the body is saying. I've turned around and ran home many times! It's hard to bag a run or workout, but when you come back the next day or week feeling 10x better, you know it was worth it!
I see you're doing the TC 10 miler!!! You'll 'love' it, and the hospitality is fantastic! Good luck and I'll try to follow your blog more often! :)
